Media Reform Coordinating Group (MRCG) is the leading Media Development Agency in Sierra Leone established to strengthen democratic dialogue, consolidate peace and ensure development through professional, independent and sustainable media, based on the right to freedom of expression and speech.
We are established as an independent corporate entity with funds from the UNDP to act as the key driver of media reform agenda in Sierra Leone.
With Clear Objectives
We coordinate the four priorities obtained from a capacity needs study of the media sector undertaken in 2013 which formed the basis of the Sierra Leone Media development strategy.
With Deliberate Steps
We are working towards a proposed chapter pertaining to media freedom for inclusion in the national constitution that is now under review.
